Hier wird auf den Ausstellungstafeln nicht nur an berühmte Söhne und Töchter des Landkreises erinnert, sondern es werden originale Erinnerungsstücke aus der Kreisgeschichte präsentiert.<br /> <br /> Der Zweite Ausstellungsschwerpunkt befasst sich mit der Helmstedter Universitätsgeschichte. Nach einem kurzen Überblick über die geschichtlichen Abläufe werden zunächst die philosophische, medizinische, juristische und theologische Fakultät vorgestellt. Die Tafeltexte führen hier kurz in Lehrinhalte und -orte ein, sie stellen aber auch einige der Helmstedter Professorenpersönlichkeiten vor.
